I believe in the oneness of God because:
“For in him [Christ] dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” (Colossians 2:9 KJV)
I reject the doctrine of the Trinity which holds the view that the one true God exists as three persons (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) co-equal, co-eternal, yet not three gods but one. (Athanasian Creed 5, 6, 16)
The oneness view of God is that God the Father, who is a Spirit and Holy, became a man. Jesus is the human face of the eternal Spirit and “the express image of his person…” (Hebrews 1:3)
God was in Christ (II Corinthians 5:19)
God was manifest in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16)
Jesus is the Everlasting Father & the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6)
Jesus is God (Matthew 1:23)
Jesus Christ was born to die for the sins of the world. (John 3:16) The man Christ Jesus laid down his life for the world:
“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
(Romans 5:8 NLT)
I believe the Lord will come for his church before the “time of trouble.”
